SHORT self-guided bicycle tours

If you have little time but still want to see spectacular scenery these are the right tours for you.
Both tours east coast run along the coast from St. Helens to Hobart. Unlike an independently organised trip, with us you have no planning to do and no accommodation bookings to worry about. And we provide a very detailed, easy-to-follow and accurate personal route-description.

What we do
* We give you advice on all aspects of the trip.
* We book and pay for all your accommodation.
* We supply a comprehensive route-description with altitude charts and tips for excursions, shops etc.
* We offer a helpline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
* We will supply a well-maintained rental bike if required (not included).
This is how it works:
* You select a tour and an accommodation category.
* You send us an email or phone us.
* Next you will receive our extensive preparation material.
* Once full payment has been received you will receive your personalised route description.
* We book the accommodation and deliver the rental bike (if needed) to the first hotel.
* You arrive and enjoy your bicycle holiday to the fullest!

Fitness level required

You don´t have to be a sportler, but we do recommend you have some previous touring experience. Most of the route is almost flat, with some undulating sections. Usually no problem, but unpredictable headwinds can make it harder.
Normally you carry your own luggage, but don’t worry, you won't need much! For an additional fee we can arrange luggage transport for you.

This section takes you inland across the beautiful north-east; an astonishing contrast of rolling, green hills with temperate rainforest.
The tour starts from St. Helens on the north-east coast with an arrival day.
The first cycling day is fairly short; to a country pub in the farming community of Pyengana. You can visit the 90m high, St. Columba falls and some very old mine machinery hidden in the forest. The following day is quite tough; you will need to climb 500m in one go. You will stay in the small town of Branxholm.
Scottsdale is the next day's destination. We have deliberately kept this ride short because of the exhausting day tomorrow ,also to give you time to visit wood carvings at Legerwood. On the last cycling day you will have to ascend the steep and winding "Sideling", however, going down the other side, through dense forest, is pure pleasure. Your destination is the quiet, historic village of Evandale, just 3km from Launceston airport.
Some long ascents need to be managed. As compensation, most daily distances are short.

Duration: 6 days (5 nights)
Starting-point: St. Helens
End-point: Launceston
Distance: 167 to 237 km depending on options taken.
